Golden Gate Bridge from the North Side

The Golden Gate has to be the world's most photographed bridge.

We spent two weeks in Napa, California in the early Spring of 2013. We took advantage of the excellent local wines and cuisine. And we managed to drive into San Francisco a couple of times: once for the marvelous San Francisco Ballet, and once just to walk around Chinatown. Of course, if you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. And stop on the way to photograph the Golden Gate Bridge. It really is worth the detour up the hills of the Golden Gate Recreational Area on the north side of the Bay to get the best views.

  1. Nice photo! I rented a bike during one of Spanky’s conferences and rode it to that exact spot. Sat there for a few hours, some of the greatest views you’ll see anywhere. Love San Francisco.
