The United States is tenth on the list of countries with UNESCO World Heritage Sites with 26. Unusual among UNESCO World Heritage countries, the United States has more Natural sites than Cultural sites. We have visited a majority of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the United States, but many of those were before we started this blog. Consequently, we don't have posts about them.

In fact, we have to admit that we visited a few of them when we were children and had no idea what a UNESCO World Heritage site was. Or before UNESCO World Heritage committee even existed.

But, we did knock off a few on our western road trips in 2014 and 2015, so we do have some photos of those.

Below is a list of the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the United States. The year in parentheses after the title is the year they were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Those titles which are linked are UNESCO World Heritage sites in the United States that we have visited since we started blogging. Click on the links to get more info.
