Zaragoza, Spain, the ancient capital of Aragón, has two competing cathedrals, both on the large Plaza del Pilar and each with a unique story. There’s the older Cathedral of the Savior (Catedral del Salvador, known as La Seo) and the important Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar (La Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, or simply, El Pilar).
