The Stone Arch Bridge, Minneapolis

stone-arch-bridge-nightNo matter how much you travel, it’s good to come home, too. Last night, Kris and I went to the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis to jump in the rush tickets line to catch a performance of the classic A Lion in Winter. Since we were there early to get the tickets, I wandered (as I always do) out onto the jutting cantilever which overlooks the Mississippi River and the old Stone Arch Bridge. It’s getting cold here now, and the snow was about to start. So there was a little steam on the unfrozen river, and plenty coming from the smokestacks across that were heating something over there. So, as my phone was running out of battery, I made about 20 exposures as it died in the cold.

I was going to turn the phone off for the play anyway. And I had to wait until it had charged again overnight to post this view of our lovely home town of Minneapolis and its lovely Stone Arch Bridge.

Nice shot! I agree with what you mentioned that it’s good to come home because of traveling I always see new beautiful place but there’s no place like home. Great place indeed.
