The English are great gardeners. All of their best parks are really gardens, or at least have a wonderful garden component. Holland Park in Kensington has its ball fields and wide green areas, but its gem is a Japanese-style garden, called the Kyoto Garden, which was built a couple of decades ago to commemorate friendship between the British and Japanese. It's absolutely beautiful, and as all Japanese and English gardens are, meticulously maintained, right down to the golden and white koi in the pond.

  1. I used to work part time in a pub years ago across the road called The Mitre. We used to walk up there for picnics and drinks. As I remember, there are a lot of black rabbits running around. Did you see any?
