I was not quite sure what to make of this crucifix in the courtyard of the parish of San Francisco in Antigua, Guatemala. Tools, spears, dice? Dice? Then it hit me, these were the tools used by the carpenters who made the cross, the soldiers who crucified Jesus, and the dice were the lots thrown to divide up his clothes. Never seen this imagery before.
